Information Center and Analog Archives

A sketch of Muir Glacier from Harry Fielding Reid's 1890 expedition notebook, held in the Analog Archives at NSIDC.

The Information Center and Analog Archives at NSIDC include unique collections of cryospheric-related resources.

The Information Center acquires and catalogs both published and unpublished analog research materials, as well as digital materials such as CD-ROMs and online resources. The Information Center catalog is available on the Web as part of the Arctic and Antarctic Regions Database, published by the National Information Services Corporation (NISC).

The Analog Archives at NSIDC, part of the World Data Center for Glaciology and supported by NOAA at NSIDC, holds collections of unique, historical scientific materials. These collections, housed at NSIDC, may be of interest to researchers and others studying the history of science, or seeking pre-digital climate data.

For more information on holdings and services, see Information Center and Analog Archives at NSIDC, or e-mail the Information Center and Analog Archives for assistance from a librarian or archvist.
